Bob Marley

“One good thing about music, when it hits- you feel no pain”
Old pirates, yes, they rob I; Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I, From the bottomless pit.
But my hand was made strong, By the hand of the Almighty.
We forward in this generation, Triumphantly.
Won't you help to sing, This songs of freedom
'Cause all I ever have: Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy, 'Cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets, While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it's just a part of it: We've got to fullfil the book.

Won't you help to sing, This songs of freedom-
'Cause all I ever have: Redemption songs;
Redemption songs; Redemption songs.

All I ever had:
Redemption songs:
These songs of freedom,
Songs of freedom.

What a beautiful man, beautiful message, beautiful voice. My love for him runs deep, so I'll have to keep this post short. Wink.

I love that last picture of him! His songs totally make sense! I bet they'd still make sense 50 years in the future. He's inspiring...ahem, except for the weed perhaps lol

LOVE this post. Bob Marley is one of my favorite musicians of all time, his lyrics have so much depth! Something a lot a music lacks nowadays unfortunately. It should be required that everyone have some Bob on their iPod!
